Hare We Go Again

A familiar flicker of movement—caught just before it vanishes. In Hare We Go Again, the hare turns in a three-quarter view, alert yet poised, as if it has paused mid-thought rather than mid-flight.

Painted in luminous watercolour, washes of soft violet settle into the contours of the form, while strokes of quinacridone gold bring warmth and life to the fur, catching the light like a fleeting memory.

Loose, expressive brushwork keeps the edges alive, allowing the figure to emerge and dissolve into the surrounding space. The background remains suggestive rather than defined, placing the emphasis on presence and perception rather than place.

Playful in title yet contemplative in tone, Hare We Go Again invites the viewer to linger in that suspended instant—where attention sharpens, time softens, and something quietly wild meets your gaze.

Original watercolour on paper. Approximate size 21 x 27 cm, unframed.
